Terlaner I Primo Grande Cuvée 2019

97 points

The Alps and the Mediterranean meet in a glass! Mountain freshness (think wild herbs) and bright fruit (think Amalfi lemon) come together in a wine that marries a stack of fine tannins with wet-stone minerality on the tightly wound palate. Make no mistake, this has been built for very long aging, so decant to aerate, if you drink it any time soon. Breathtaking energy at the very long finish.

Rarity Pinot Bianco 2009

97 points

Absurdly fresh for its age, with a very complex, flinty and creamy personality. Matches its concentration with pithy structure, mineral intensity and racy energy that are beautifully interwoven on the super-long finish. Ought to mature for several further decades, only changing very slowly. A 100% dry pinot blanc that was matured in cask until bottling on August 25th, 2021.

Porphyr Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva 2019

97 points

An enormously concentrated and complex Italian red that is totally distinctive to this region. Stunning nose that marries the blackest berry fruit with notes of raw meat, old balsamic vinegar and crushed rock. The integration of deep fruit, richness and dense powdery tannins is breathtaking, the plush finish extremely long. The best vintage ever of this unique wine!

Terlaner Riserva Nova Domus 2019

96 points

Incredibly deep and complex nose with a ton of candied pineapple and citrus, plus notes of white pepper, chamomile and verveine. As concentrated as it is highly structured on the imposing, but energetic palate, that energy driving the extremely intense and focused crushed-rock and wild-herb finish. The best vintage ever of this wine! A cuvée of pinot bianco, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc with a history going back to 1893.

Vorberg  Alto Adige Terlano Pinot Bianco Riserva 2019

95 points

A very deep and concentrated dry pinot blanc that’s only just beginning to give its best. Wonderful balance of creamy richness with delicately toasty and caramelized-pear character. Modest acidity, but so much mineral energy that you don’t think for a second about the scale of the wine (14%). Extremely long and silky finish.

Quarz Alto Adige Terlano Sauvignon Blanc 2020

95 points

A beautifully crafted sauvignon blanc that marries the fruity, herbal, vegetal and mineral aspects of this grape to create a seamless and complex masterpiece. So pure, so elegant and refined, yet also invigorating, thanks to its Alpine freshness. Very long, crystalline finish.

Lunare Alto Adige Gewürztraminer 2020

94 points

The effusive floral honey, jasmine and candied tropical-fruit aromas make this super-sensual gewurz very hard to resist. Full-bodied and rich, yet properly dry and very clean, this is a remarkable expression of this classic grape variety, without a hint of the extravagance so often associated with it.

Monticol Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva 2019

94 points

What a beautiful fragrance this very elegant Alpine pinot noir has! Fine red-berry and dried orange-peel aromas with delicate spice from oak. Wonderful integration of generous body and fine tannins, building gently at the long, structured finish. From vineyards between 500 and 600 meters above sea level.

Terlaner Alto Adige Terlano Cuvèe 2021

93 points

Full, yet subtle nose of crisp pear and candied lemon with delicate herbal notes and a whiff of flint. Impressive substance and textural complexity on the simultaneously generous and precise palate. Spot-on balance of ripeness and freshness at the long, wet-stone finish. A cuvée of pinot bianco, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc with a history going back to 1893.

Kreuth Alto Adige Terlano Chardonnay 2020

93 points

An elegant chardonnay that combines restrained creaminess with silky and quite mineral acidity right through the generous yet cool palate. Long finish with so much lemon-balm and chamomile freshness. Still very youthful.

Gries Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva 2019

93 points

Brimming with forest-berry and damson-plum aromas, this is a very vivid and expressive red wine, in spite of its ripeness. The substantial, moderately dry tannins still need some time to completely harmonize, but there’s so much good fruit in here. Long finish with stacks of cocoa-powder and dried-sage character. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

Chardonnay Alto Alto 2021

92 points

Expertly marrying ripeness and brightness, this Alpine chardonnay makes a bold statement, yet is easy to enjoy. Long, energetic and crystalline finish that inexorably pulls you back for more!

Gewürztraminer Alto Adige 2021

92 points

What an enticing wine this is, thanks to the aromas of ripe mangosteen and star fruit with a touch of jasmine. Stunning balance on the palate for the quite challenging vintage, the ripeness and grapefruit freshness exactly matched, the finish so clean and straight.

Müller Thurgau Alto Adige 2021

92 points

The pink-grapefruit, kiwi and fresh-mint aromas pour from the glass of this exceptional muller-thurgau, and the generous, juicy palate has super mountain freshness that makes the wet-stone finish wonderfully invigorating!

Pinot Bianco Alto Adige 2021

92 points

An excellent dry pinot blanc that marries invigorating freshness with a fascinating snow-pea and fine green-bean character. You barely feel them directly, but a touch of positive tannin really helps to harmonize this at the very straight and crisp finish.

Winkl Alto Adige Terlano Sauvignon Blanc 2021

92 points

A very classic Alto Adige sauvignon blanc with tons of yellow-grapefruit aroma, but also many herbal and sweet vegetal (think green bean, asparagus, etc.) notes. Juicy and vibrant, but also well-structured, this has impressive depth at the bright finish.
