Rarity 1991

100 points

The Cantina Terlano 2022 Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Porphyr (with 22,000 bottles produced) offers more elegance and complexity, with rich concentration and soft tannins, than your standard interpretation of this much beloved red grape. The core of this wine is padded with dense dark fruit, blackberry and spice.

Terlaner I Primo Grande Cuvée 2022

96 + points

he quality of the aromas is enormously fine and lifted with layers of stone fruit, mountain flower, yellow rose, poached pear, pie crust and crushed stone. Fruit is drawn from many small terraces farmed by members of this celebrated co-op winery.

Terlaner Nova Domus 2022

94 points

Here's a beautiful wine that will appeal to those who love the lighter and crisper side of Alto Adige winemaking. The Cantina Terlano 2022 Alto Adige Terlano Riserva Nova Domus is a blend of 70% Pinot Bianco, 25% Chardonnay and 5% Sauvignon Blanc from different sites and varying elevations. You get Alpine brightness in this wine, with stone fruit, quince, spice and saffron. Brisk acidity rides over a silky finish.

Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva 2022

95 + points

Fruit selection for this wine casts a wider net in the celebrated Vorbeg vineyard that also fuels the exceptional Rarity bottling. This 52-hectare site has incredibly steep (70%) inclines at 450 to 650 meters above sea level with south and southwestern exposures. The wine offers pretty aromatic highlights of melon, Golden Delicious apple, pie crust and crushed oystershell. This is a beautiful and more accessible taste of the best of Alto Adige.

Winkl Sauvignon Blanc 2024

92 points

Winkl is very true to the grape with lots of zesty tropical fruit, citrus and the green essence found on young tomato leaves. I enthusiastically direct your attention here if you love this fragrant grape. The wine is lean and fresh on the finish.

Terlaner Cuvèe 2024

92 points

The 2024 draws its fruit from steep slopes that capture the most sunlight hours. This blend has been produced for more than a century (since 1893). There is fragrant lift from the Sauvignon Blanc, but you also get mineral freshness and zest from the other two grapes. It offers a pretty silky texture for near-term drinking.
